The Faculty of Engineering opened its doors for the first batch of students in Electrical and Industrial Engineering Departments in 1990, and a year later it admitted students into the Civil Engineering Department. The Chemical Engineering Department was initiated in 1993, followed by the Mechanical Engineering Department in 1995. On this coming year the Faculty of Engineering will admit 180 first-year students in all five fields.
